Madison K. Arner, 7, of 25 S. Kennedy Dr., McAdoo, passed away Monday, June 24, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, from injuries she sustained from a fire in her home on Saturday night.
She was of the Catholic faith. She was a student at the McAdoo-Kelayres Elementary School, where she was to enter the second grade this coming school year.
- Born in Danville, she was a daughter of John Arner of Nesquehoning and Lorraine Ross of McAdoo.
She had just graduated from a Daisy to a Brownie with the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pa., Troop 31644, McAdoo.
Madison was a happy-go-lucky little girl who loved animals, unicorns and dressing up. She was great at playing video and computer games.
She loved to spend the day at Knoebel's Amusement Park, which she recently visited, and the Great Wolf Lodge, and she also enjoyed playing with her "partner in crime," her cousin Gavin.
Surviving in addition to her parents are two sisters, Chasity Reed and Savanah Searfoss, both at home; her paternal grandmother, Kathleen Arner of Nesquehoning; paternal great-grandmother, Margaret Arner of Lansford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandfather John V. Arner Jr.; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Catherine (Tier) Ross; and an aunt Charlotte Ross.
Service: Memorial service noon Tuesday. July 2, Damiano Funeral Home, Blaine and Cleveland streets, McAdoo. Interment, St. Michael Cemetery, Summit Hill. Call 10 a.m.-noon Saturday.
