Mrs. Doris F. Matsinko|
Mrs. Doris F. Matsinko, 88, formerly of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 25, in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mahoning Township.
She was a seamstress for many garment factories throughout the area until retiring.Born in Jim Thorpe, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Luebbert) Foster.
- She was the widow of Michael Matsin-ko, who passed away Jan. 24, 2006.
She was active in the Pa. Special Olympics and was a member of Den Mothers for Troops 114, Nesquehoning, and Christ United Church of Christ, Jim Thorpe.
Surviving are two sons, Michael, and his wife, Carol (Crum), of Gettysburg, and David of Lehighton; a sister Carol, wife of Vern Rumley of Jim Thorpe; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Patrick Matsinko; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, John "Jackie," and a sister, Shirley Lesisko.
Service: Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29 , Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, with the Rev. Marjorie Keiter officiating. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday. Contributions in her name may be made to the Special Olympics of Carbon Co., P.O. Box 332, Palmerton, Pa. 18071.
