News Death Notice HERALD, Charlie Age 86, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday morning, December 19, 2014 at the Laurels of Hillsboro. He was born August 23, 1928 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, the son of the late Roger and Hallie (Turner) Herald. He retired from Armco Steel after thirty-eight years of service. He lived and worked his entire life in Middletown before retiring to the Hillsboro/Rocky Fork Lake area. He is survived by his wife, Jane (Fouts) Shepherd Herald, of Hillsboro; a son, Gary (Jennifer) Herald of Honolulu, HI; a daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Mansfield of Henderson, Nevada; three step-children, Debra Norris of St. Augustine, FL, Josetta (Peter) Foster and Randy Shepherd, both of Middletown; a brother, Roscoe Herald of Franklin; a sister, Charlene (Ed) Allen of Hamilton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Woodside Cemetery in Middletown. There will be no visitation. News Death Notice McWHORTER, Gladys P. Age 87, of Hamilton, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at her residence. Her family members were by her side when she went home to be with the Lord. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky the daughter of Steve and Armine (Settles) Gabbard. She married Robert D. McWhorter on July 22, 1950 in Liberty, Indiana. Gladys was a member of Princeton Pike Church of God and she loved traveling. Gladys, known as Gabby to many, was a loving mother with a servant's heart, and always willing to help others. She was a very fun-loving friend to many. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Diane (David) Moore , Franklin, Ohio and Robin (Mike) Terry, Hamilton; her son, Phil (Kim) McWhorter, Palm Bay, Florida; grandchildren, Christy (Zach) Dixon, twins, Cheri (Dave) Graham and Melissa (Eric) Abrams, Ryan McWhorter, Ashlee (Mark) Daley, Scott (Leesa) Terry and Kelsey Terry and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Alvie, Herbert, Merle, Earl, Glendon and Carl and five sisters, Nola, Mae, Marie, Ora and Lou. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Pastor Barry Clardy officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Senior Independence (Hospice), 9600 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45251. PEACHER, William R.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice PEACHER, William R. Age 75, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Kenton County, Kentucky. He was born September 6, 1939, the son of the late Victor and Marie (Feyh) Peacher. He attended Hamilton City Schools and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1957. Bill graduated fro Miami University in 1961 with a degree in Business Administration. He married Judy Hammons on February 23, 1963 in Hamilton. Bill spent forty-five years working in the packaging industry. In retirement, Bill enjoyed many days volunteering at the Butler County Courthouse and the Butler County Administration Building. He was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church for over fifty years, meeting many life-long friends and becoming a leader in the church. He was preceded in death by his brother Patrick Nutt and sister-in-law Patricia Nutt. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of over fifty-one years, Judy, and his daughter Amy Armstrong (Dewey) of Spartanburg SC, and three grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, and Andrew Armstrong, and a nephew Michael Nutt. Funeral services will be Monday, December 22, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N.W. Washington Blvd., Hamilton, 45013 with Pastor Sam Harnish officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. News Death Notice SEXTON, Richard C. Age 86, of Liberty Twp. Passed away on December 10, 2014. He was born August 26, 1928 in Frankfort, KY to Edward McKinley and Hazel (nee Jameson) Sexton. Richard is the beloved husband of Mary (nee Horn) for 62 years; devoted father of Beth (Irwin) Thompson and Rick Sexton; loving grandfather of Amy (Eric) Clavier, Samantha Sexton, and Cole Sexton; great grandfather of Madisyn, Haden, Greysen, Avilyn, Weston, and Joshua. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Joe (Cindy) Allgeyer; sisters-in-law, Dolores Meyer and Margaret Kresser; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Richard served his country in the Air Force; and was a Engineering Technical Writer for General Electric in the Marine Industrial Engines Division until his retirement in 1990; He was also a member of the Elks and enjoyed golf. Visitation will be December 20, 2014 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Gardens Chapel, 2145 Compton Rd., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. News Death Notice WHITED, Reva B. Age 90 of Hamilton passed away Friday December 19, 2014 at Tri-County Extended Care Center. She was born June 10, 1924 in Metamora, Indiana the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (McWhorter) Bond. Mrs. Whited was a loving mother and grandmother and was a charter member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly. She was married to Wallace Whited and he preceded her in death in 1978. Mrs. Whited was the loving mother of Linda (Earl) Blevins, Bonnie (Dale) Truster, Karen (Don) Hughes, Sherry (Curt) Allen, Terry (Diane) Whited, Gina (Mark) Pratt, and the late Ginger Ash Eleton; beloved grandmother of 22; great grandmother of 31, and great great grandmother of 5, and the dear sister of Arthur (Nola) Bond and Odus Bond. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons Marty D. Stewart and Ricky Eleton, and her great grandson Connor. News Death Notice BROWN, Claudia R. Age 68, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at her residence. She was born May 11, 1946 in Middletown, and lived in this area all her life. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1964. Claudia was employed at Diamond International/Jefferson Smurfit for 40 years retiring in 2010. The family extends their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Hospice Care of Middletown, and David and Lisa Brown for their care of Claudia during her illness. Preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond and Hazel Frisch; and one brother, Douglas Frisch. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Brown; one brother, Frank Frisch; one sister, Ann DeHart, husband Eddie; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be Monday, December 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Reverends Furman and Patricia Stamper officiating. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery, Miltonville, Ohio.
