News Death Notice BABB, Juanita Age 79 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 03:35PM. She was born in Pittsburg, KY on November 21, 1935 to Andrew and Goldie (Houston) Chandler. She retired from Avon in Springdale after 20 years of service. She was an active member of Richmond Road Baptist Church where she enjoyed studying and worshiping her savior, Jesus Christ. Juanita was always ready to use her sewing, quilting, and cooking talents for the enjoyment of others. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (James) Reid, London, KY and Vickie (Tom) Rauf, Hamilton, OH, her brother, William Chandler, her grandchildren, Tabatha (Dave) Sanders, Justin (Sandy) Reid, Michael (Stephanie) Benge, Tiffany Fleenor, Amanda Rauf, Alexandra Rauf, and one great grandson, William Mason Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Arnold Babb, her son, Michael Wayne Benge, and her parents. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 2:30 PM with Pastor Mark Wurzelbacher officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 12:30 -2:30PM at the funeral home. BAILEY, Luella* - Fresno  
News Death Notice BAILEY, Luella "Lu" Formerly of Middletown, passed away on April 9, 2015, at the age of 103. She began teaching in the Middletown school system in 1935, a career that lasted over 35 years. Both Lu and her husband, Paul Bailey who worked for Armco, retired in 1971 and moved to Fresno, Ca to be near their son and his family. Paul passed away in 1992. Lu is survived by her son, Tom Bailey; her grandson, David Bailey; granddaughter, Gail Zack and her husband Steven; her great-grand- daughter, Kaylene Veenstra; and great-grandson, Steven Zack, all of Fresno. In addition to her immediate family, Lu is survived by 11 nieces and nephews, most of whom reside in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to either Hinds Hospice of Fresno, 1416 W Twain Ave, Fresno, CA 93711; or to Belmar Villa Assisted Living, 2020 N Weber Ave, Fresno, CA 93705.

News Death Notice BAIR, Mildred Elizabeth Age 86 of Middletown, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born July 15, 1928 in Frenchburg, KY, the daughter of Dorsey and Nora Whitt. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Demery She is survived by 3 sons; Drellos (wife, Inna) Bair of Middletown, Lester (wife, Donnita) Bair of Middletown, Michael (wife, Barbara) Bair of Camden, 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; and 2 brothers; Vernon Whitt of Kentucky and Wilbur Whitt of Kentucky. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Thursday at the Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home. BAKER, Patricia B.* - Middletown  
News Death Notice BAKER, Patricia B. Age 91, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Brookdale Place of Oakwood. She was born February 14, 1924 in Middletown, OH to Herschel and Mary (Taylor) Barnhart. Patricia was a member of First Baptist Church and a past deacon of the church. She was also a past chairman of the Cantee Service of the local Red Cross, member of the Middletown Lions Auxillary and past president of Shovel and Hoe Garden Club. She was very active in various Middletown Bridge Clubs. Patricia is survived by her brother Lowell Barnhart ; sister Rebecca "Beckie" (Tim) Pfister of Centerville, OH; sister-in-law Roberta Daly and loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph R. Baker; son Joseph R. Baker III and sister Vanessa Ingram. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Kenneth Fey officiating. Entombent will be at Woodside Cemetery. BAKER, Robert E.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice BAKER, Robert E. Age 81 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015. He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on July 15, 1933 to Elbert and Clemma (Gabbard) Baker. On November 27, 1953 in Hamilton he married Patricia Logsdon. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Bob was retired from Ford Motor Company, where he worked for 30 years. He was devoted to his family, and was an avid UK fan. He is survived by his wife, Pat Baker; daughters, Rhonda Rose, and Lisa (Kevin) Bowman; grandchildren, Lindsey (Mike) Himmler, Justin Rose, Zachary Rose, Brittney (Aaron) Briggs, and Erin (Jared) Magness; great grandchildren, Westley Himmler, Evy Himmler, and Madelyn Briggs; sisters, Irene Abrams, Ruth Richardson, Barbara Brittain, and Lucy Flannery; and a brother, Carl Baker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Levi Baker; sister, Zelma Baker; and his parents. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. BARCH III, Paul Elmer  
News Death Notice BARCH, III, Paul Elmer Age 38 of Franklin, Ohio and formerly of Tennessee passed peacefully April 19, 2015 after a short and unexpected illness a the Atrium Medical Center. Paul spent the majority of his life in Tennessee and moved to this area a few years ago to be with family. He enrolled in school and earned his GED and also earned his CDL certificate through the Warren County Career Center. Paul was preceded in death by his grandfather Paul Barch, Sr. and brother Don Robert Nicholson. News Death Notice BARNES, Frank B. "Boxhead" Age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 2:00AM. He was born in Clay County, KY on December 15, 1922 to William and Sara (Root) Barnes. Frank was employed at Fisher Body for 32 ½ years, retiring on June 1, 1980. His favorite thing to do was take long walks and drinking many cups of coffee. On March 4, 1950 in Tazewell, TN he married Sylvia Pitman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sylvia Barnes; one son, Ralph (Mary) Barnes; two grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Stacy and Tammy (James) Clarkston; three great-grandchildren, Cody, Jessica, and Rebecca; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one child, Frank Barnes Jr.; three brothers, James, John, and Charles. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1PM with Pastor John Johnson officiating. News Death Notice BARRETT, Matthew Paul Age 33 of Middletown went to meet his Heavenly Father on Wednesday April 22, 2015. He was born November 15, 1981 in Middletown, Ohio. Matthew leaves behind his beautiful daughter Grace Leanne Barrett. Gracie was the love of his life and the center of his universe. He was a member of A New Beginning Church in Middletown. He is also survived by his parents Sheila and Arnold Duncan; one sister Stephanie (Scott) Baker; two brothers Arnold Duncan Jr. and Charles (Ileen) Barrett III; one sister in law Carrie Duncan as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Matthew was preceded in death by his father Charles Barrett II, his grandparents Rev. Lawrence and Opal Flannery, and his uncle Robert Flannery. Visitation will be at A New Beginning Church 200 S. Marshall Rd. Middletown, OH 45044 on Sunday April 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. BAUER, David J.* - Fairfield  
News Death Notice BAUER, David J. Longtime Fairfield resident David J. Bauer, a teacher, coach, and administrator, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, April 16 at age 58. He died in the care of Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash. A loving husband, top of the line father, teacher, and coach, Dave bravely fought kidney cancer since April of 2012. Dave lived his final days with optimism and a sense of humor-as he always had. Bauer is survived by his wife, Mindy Bauer (Kincer); daughter Kelcey and son Jay; sister Anita Mcpherson (Curtis), brother Kenneth Bauer (Patricia), and brother Tom Bauer (Lisa). He is also survived by his in laws Hal and Verna Kincer, and brother in law Vic Kincer (Georganne). He was preceded in death by sister Linda Bauer and parents Jane Ann (Westrick) and Kenneth Bauer. The family would like to thank Dr. Ed Crane and staff for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Dragonfly Foundation for Children's Cancer, 9275 Governor's Way, Cincinnati, 45249 or to the Dave Bauer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
