DEATON, Harry C.* - Fairfield  
News Death Notice DEATON, Harry C. Age 88, of Fairfield passed away on December 23, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 3, 1926 in Perry County, KY to Ambrose and Alma Deaton. Harry married Mary Weaver on October 9, 1948 she preceded him in death on January 14, 1998. He was a veteran of the Army, WWII and was awarded with the Silver and Bronze Stars; Purple Heart; Bronze Arrowhead for Invasion; Paratrooper of the Year for the 17th Airborne Division; 3 major campaigns stars, Company I, 513 Parachute Infantry, 17th Airborne Division, Battle of the Bulge, Operation Varsity. Harry was employed as a manager for 34 years at Mosler Safe until his retirement in 1988; Lifetime member of VFW 1069; Kentucky Colonel; and made a hole in one at the Fairfield Golf Course. He is survived by his children, Michael Deaton, Mark "Bo" Deaton, and Melanie Simpson; grandchildren, Maggie Simpson, Richard (Carrie) Deaton, Jennifer (Chris Shirah) Rowland; great grandchildren, Courtney Piatt, Gabe Rowland, Logan, Loren, and Rian Deaton. Harry is also survived by his trusty dog Roscoe. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. Visitation will be Friday December 26, 2014 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rob Rosenbalm officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. News Death Notice ESTES, Mary Kathleen 86, of Starke, Florida, passed away Thursday, December 11th, 2014. She was born on May 23rd, 1928 in Irvine, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, CLAYBORN DOUGLAS 'DOUG' ESTES and their three sons MIKE, his wife Lynda, their daughter Michelle Cregor and husband Jeff; DON, his wife Caren, their daughter Melissa, son's Wade, Nicholas and Shawn, his wife Courtney and their son Caiden (9 months); and their youngest son RICK, his daughters Elizabeth Fox, husband Mike and their son Jackson (9yrs) and Kristina Montanez and her husband 'Polo'. Kath, as she was known, was the daughter of Homer and Beulah Hardy of College Corner, Ohio. She has two sisters, Jeanette Hackney and her husband Fred of College Corner; Betty Baker and her husband Bernie of Austin, Texas and a brother Doug Hardy of Watertown, Wisconsin. She attended McGuffey High School. Kath lived with her husband Doug on W Spring Street, E Withrow Ave/St and Contreas Road during their years in Oxford. Doug was a longtime mechanic at the Marathon gas station on Main Street and W Park Place. They moved to Hallandale, Florida in 1960. She and Doug raised their three sons there until the boys were grown with families of their own. They moved to Starke, Florida in 1999 to be closer to their sons. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed the lives of her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She will be very much missed by her family.

FRISCH, Joyce LaRae* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice FRISCH, Joyce LaRae 74 of Middletown, passed away on November 13, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Frank, her daughter Jennifer, her grandsons Braedon and Seth, her sisters Janice, Donna and Bobbi. She was preceded in death by her sons, Donnie and Lee, her "Daddy" Bill and mom Eleanor Rickard. Besides being a volunteer E.M.T. for the Monroe Rescue Squad and a teacher's aide for many schools, she was also employed at J.C. Penney, Montgomery Ward, and Rogers Jewelers. She managed the Dippy Dairy in Monroe and managed self-storage facilities for the past 23 years. She was well loved and will be missed by her many friends and family. We want to thank our "heroes" at Hospice Care of Middletown for their loving care of Joyce in her final days. Also special thanks to Dr. Mary Ellen Gaeke, Kim and all the folks at the Compton Center and Atrium Medical Center for their dedication and loving care given to Joyce this past year. Joyce's decision was to donate her body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for the purpose of research that may help others. A Celebration of Life "gathering" of friends and family is scheduled for Saturday December 27th 2014 from 2-4 p.m. at the Breiel Blvd Church of God Youth Center building at the back of the church, 2000 North Breiel Boulevard, Middletown, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown Inc., 3909 Central Ave in Joyce's name.

News Death Notice GENTRY, Sr., Thomas Leon Born March 28, 1935 in Waco, KY to Leon and Mary Francis Gentry. Mr. Gentry was reared and educated in Portsmouth, Ohio. Mr. Gentry is a United States Air Force Veteran, and he worked for the Middletown Police Department until retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. He passed away December 16, 2014 age 79.
