News Death Notice CASKEY-RUSSELL, Lisa Age 49, passed away Jan. 11, 2015 at her home. Born Aug. 22, 1965. She is survived by her mother, Sue Lawson-Johnson and father, David Caskey, Sr.; stepmother, Evelyn Caskey; brother, David Caskey, Jr; son, Josh Russell; niece, Molly Caskey; and numerous aunts, cousins and other family members. Lisa was a good person. Her time was cut short on this earth. We all love and miss you, Lisa. May the Lord give you peace. RIP.

News Death Notice CHANEY-WARDLOW, Oakley V. (nee Gabbard) Age 87, of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born March 15, 1927 in Hamilton to the late Bob and Pina Gabbard. In October of 1975 in Jellico, TN she married her husband, Paul Wardlow. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton. Oakley was a great mother who was totally involved in every single aspect of her children's lives. She will be greatly missed by all of the many friends and family she encountered throughout her life. She is survived by her children, Joy McWhorter, Sue (Chas) Powers and Dennis (Linda) Chaney; brother, Earl Gabbard; grandchildren, Fawn (Chris) Haven, Randy (Kristy) McWhorter, Chuck (Dani) Powers, Ryan (Tiffany) Chaney and Mickey Chaney; and great grandchildren, Paxton, Kyla, Taylor, Allie, Maddie, Katie and Lily; niece, Linda (Mark) Arnold; and nephew, David (Tammy) Gabbard; special cousin, Sherry Harlow; also survived by numerous great-great nieces and nephews, friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, John Baker; and sister, Genieve Perry. A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening, January 20, 2015 at 7PM at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield 45014. Visitation will be from 5PM until time of service. CHRISMAN, Murilyn* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice CHRISMAN, Murilyn Age 85 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Westover Retirement Community. She was born in Cincinnati on January 7, 1930, the daughter of the late John Paul and Bertha Smith. Murilyn was a 1947 graduate of Hamilton High School. On October 25, 1947 in Hamilton she married her husband of over 64 years, Richard "Dick" Chrisman, Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2012. She was a key punch operator at Ohio Casualty Insurance for over thirty years. Murilyn is survived by her four children, Barbara (Donald) Baker of Lima, Steven (Sally) Chrisman of Liberty, Twp., Richard Chrisman Jr. of Hamilton and Karen Brockman of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Gayle (Matt) Chaney, Dan (Misty) Baker, Tony Baker, Owen Chrisman, Mike (Christina) Chrisman, Carolyn Brockman and Danny Jo Brockman; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton with Rev. Dr. William F. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 3pm until 5pm at the funeral home. News Death Notice COLLINS, Janie Christine Age 80 of Hamilton, left this Earth to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2015. She was born in Jackson Co., KY on May 13, 1934 to Banford and Bessie (Garrett) Johnson. Janie was a loving mother and grandmother, and will always be remembered for her love and passion for children. Having run a babysitting service for over 40 years she loved and cherished all of her babies she watched over the years. Janie was a member of the Oxford Pentecostal Church and served as a Sunday school teacher over the years. She loved her children, cooking, gospel music and had a beautiful singing voice. Janie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Dewey Collins. She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Lisa) Collins, Darius (Patricia) Collins, and daughter Mary Lou (Joe) Tellup; seven grandchildren, Stevie Collins, Crystal (Chad) Joiner, Isaac Tellup, Christina (Brandon) McCoy, John Wayne (Kelsey) Unzicker, and Elizabeth and Samuel Collins; four great grandchildren, Madison and Riley Unzicker and Jason and Carmen McCoy; three sisters, Edith Lunsford, Colene Gray, and Georgia Abrams, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, John Jacob; and three brothers, Denver Johnson, Luther Johnson, and Noble Johnson. Funeral service will be held at Oxford Pentecostal Church on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10AM with Rev. Albert Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. News Death Notice COOK, Pauline L. Age 84, passed away at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center on Sunday, January 18, 2015. She was born in Hamilton on March 14, 1930 to Claude and Ida (Gray) Johnson. On October 26, 1950 in Hamilton she married Paul M. Cook Jr., who preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by her children, Paul (Angela) Cook, Marchell (Rhonda Williams) Cook, and Marsha (Ray) Carberry; a brother, O.D. Johnson; sisters, Rose Quinlan, and Billie (Joe) Stanley; 11 grandchildren, Karene Mills, Shawn Osner, Jennifer Harrison, Christopher Cook, Gabe Cook, Hanna Cook, Sarah Cook, Emily Cook, Sarah Spiller, Ella Carberry, and Joey Carberry; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cook Jr; a son, Perry Cook; four sisters, Irene O'roark, Glenna Payne, Louise Ulrich, and Tea Langsdale; and her parents. Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jerome Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home. COTTRELL, Ona* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice COTTRELL, Ona 91, Hamilton, returned to her heavenly Father on January 16, 2015 after a brief illness. A native of McKee, Kentucky, she was the daughter of John and Sarah Jane (Angel) Baker. She married Herbert Cottrell on November 22, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1986. She leaves behind two devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Jane (Randall) Jackson, Louisville, Kentucky and Ruby (Douglas) Erbeck, Fairfield; a granddaughter, Kellie Jackson; grandson Jesse (Angela) Jackson; great granddaughter, Brianna Jackson; sister-in-law, Edna Baker, McKee, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and several siblings. Mrs. Cottrell was a devoted wife, mother and friend to everyone she met. She was an excellent seamstress and spent many hours sewing and crocheting with her long-time friend, Theresa Taylor. She retired from Fairfield Cleaners while in her 80's. She enjoyed making quilts for the Lutheran World Relief and spent many enjoyable hours with canine companions, "Buddy", "Luke" and "Tiny". She will be greatly missed. Heaven is now one Angel richer. We love you Mom, rest in peace. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Pastor Kevin Jud officiating.
