News Death Notice PHELPS (nee Suffron), Martha Eileen "Marti" Beloved wife of the late Wellman Dwight "Bud" Phelps for 59 years. Daughter of the late Harry and Odda (Parr) Suffron. Dear mother of Joseph (Laura) Phelps, Jennifer (the late William) Nibouar, Elizabeth Phelps, Rebecca (Tyler) Bolinger, Margaret (Chris) Bellamy, John (Jeanette Rosing) Phelps, Vicki (Dr. Eric) Hugo and the late Peter Phelps. Loving grandmother of Ruth and Dwight Phelps, William and Peter Nibouar, Katie, Sam and Max Bolinger, Meagan (Daniel) Blair, Ashley (Adam Macke) Glichowski, Jared and Mack Murdoch, Ryan Bellamy, Dean Phelps and 11 great grandchildren. Sister of the Mary Evelyn Tresemer and the late Wendell Suffron and Harriet Buxton. Passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Age 82 years. Marti was a member of Dorcas Chapter No. 277, O.E.S. for over 25 years and served as the Deputy Grand Matron for the State of Ohio in 1992; a member for over 50 years of Northern Hills United Methodist Church and Past President of the United Methodist Women. Visitation will be held at Northern Hills United Methodist Church, 6700 Winton Road, Finneytown, Friday February 27, 2015 from 5-9 PM with Eastern Star Services at 7:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Saturday, February 28 at 4 PM. Memorials may be directed to Northern Hills United Methodist Church or The United Way of Cincinnati. RADER, Melissa Kay (Robertson)* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice RADER (Robertson), Melissa Kay Age 50 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. She was born in Hamilton on October 21, 1964 to William and Floretta (Stepp) Robertson. Melissa was employed at Hamilton City Schools. On May 2, 1987 in Hamilton she married Eugene Rader. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Rader; children, Christopher (Sherry) Robertson, Daryl Hensley, Tiffany Evans, Michael Rader, and Ashley Rader; her mother, Floretta Robertson; 4 grandchildren, Kyla, Tyler, Paige, and Brantley; 5 brothers; and 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, William Robertson. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 7:30 PM. News Death Notice REED, Dale 95, of Otterbein Lebanon, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at home. He was born in Hagger, Kentucky on December 15, 1919 to parents John D. and Dora (Keeton) Reed. Mr. Reed was a member of Blue Ball Presbyterian Church and retired from Amanda Elementary as the principal in 1977. Mr. Reed is survived by his daughter, Janet Hess and granddaughter, Katy Hess. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Luther Reed & Bert Reed; sisters, Jessie Johnson, Bernice Zoeler, Zella Cox, Zona Johnson, Hester Patrick, Edna Sublett & Eulah Harris. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11:00 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Kevin Lawler officiating. SCHLIESMAN, Mabel E.* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice SCHLIESMAN, Mabel E. Age 99 of Hamilton, Ohio died Monday, February 23, 2015, at her home. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on March 19, 1915, the daughter of Charles and Mary Edith (Koeppel) Hume. On October 14, 1939, in St. John Catholic Church Middletown, Ohio she married Lenard C. Schliesman and he preceded her death on December 18, 1989, a marriage of 50 years. Mabel was a member of St. Ann Church and the Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. Schliesman had been a poll worker for nearly 20 years, predominately at George Washington Jr. High School and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and bingo. Survivors include three children, Joy E. Schliesman of Hamilton, David C. (Haruko) Schliesman of Fairfield Township, and Richard (Judith) Schliesman of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Thomas, Nicholas, Matthew (Brandy Tudor) Schliesman, and Jessica (Matthew) Richardson; two great-grandchildren, Alexus Schliesman, and Madilynn Richardson; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Mary Baker. Besides her husband, Lenard, she was also preceded in death by a son, Frederick T. Schliesman in 1999; three brothers Robert and Paul Hume and (Charles Hume in infancy); two sisters, Agnes Combs and Mary Garitson.Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Friday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00PM Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Ann Church or Hospice of Hamilton. SEBASTIAN, Dorothy (Dot)* - Hamilton  
News Death Notice SEBASTIAN, Dorothy "Dot" Age 85, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday February 23, 2015 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Otis and Lina (Marcum) Spicer. On December 18, 1974, in Hamilton, Dorothy married her beloved husband of over 35 years, Ed Sebastian and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2010. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Larry (Pam) Ledford and Tim (Debbie) Motes; her grandchildren, Don (Susan) Ledford, Jr., Amber (Kristian) Shaw, Matthew Motes and Angela (Jessie) Rogers; her great grandchildren, Dylan Ledford, Alexis Ledford, Mackenzie Ledford, Morgan Shaw, Myles Motes, JR Rogers and Parker Shaw; her sister Betty (Harry) McGuire; daughter-in-law Pat Ledford; nieces, Sharon Barger, Becky Kimbrell, Jackie Webb and Karen Downs. Dot was also preceded in death by her son, Donnie Ledford and grandson, Wes Ledford. The family would like to thank the many friends and neighbors at Crouse's and all of the Indiana Sebastians. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 12pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, with Pastor Kim L. Katterheinrich officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. News Death Notice SHELL, Harry Thomas born in Cleveland, Virginia on September 2, 1922 passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. He resided with his daughter, Donna and devoted son-in-law, Jeff Schwartz, since 2008 along with his wife, Paulena Shell, who preceded him in death in 2011. He spent the last month of his life at Golden Years Nursing Home and we wish to thank them for their kindness, and also to Tridia Hospice. He also leaves behind a very very special great granddaughter, Hannah Rush, the very sparkle of his life. Also, his special granddaughter Suzanne Rush, her husband Ed, his buddy, and special grand dog, Chooch. Also left behind are two other granddaughters Jennifer (Michael) Hamm, Kimberly Schwartz of Duluth, Minnesota. Preceding him in death was a special granddaughter, Tracey Schwartz-Stone (husband Rickey Stone). Also surviving are five great grandchildren, Kalynn Hamm, Justin Hamm, Tyler Hamm, Lily Stone, and Riley Stone of Hamilton; and also daughter, Shirley (Ben) Hibbard of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; grandson, Brady (Donna) Hibbard; two great grandsons; and one great great grandson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Shell; his parents; and three brothers. Harry retired from General Motors after 36 years, and was a member of the North Fairfield Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II and flew 42 bombing missions, including 2 over the Ploesti oil fields in Romania. Visitation at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 3080 Homeward Way at RT. 4, Fairfield on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 4:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 PM, with Pastor Steve Tufts, officiating. Burial with full military honors at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Sunset Memorial Park, Damascus, Virginia.
