News Death Notice

LITTLE, Charles Albert 66, of Lebanon since 1985, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Born in Lorain, OH on October 1, 1946 to Foster Alden & Agnes Elizabeth (nee: Simpson) Little, he graduated from Lorain High School in 1964. He continued his education with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Ashland College in 1968, where he became a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, a M.S. in Elementary Education from Indiana University in 1971 and later received his Ed. S. in Curriculum and Supervision from Miami University in 1977. Mr. Little began his teaching career for Galion City Schools before moving to Middletown City Schools where he taught and became the Assistant Principal at Manchester Middle. He completed his career with Lebanon City Schools, where he served as Principal of Louisa Wright Elementary from 1984-2001. During his tenure, the U.S. Department of Education selected Louisa Wright as one of the 230 elite public elementary schools from across the nation to exemplify quality education. In addition, his leadership brought recognition in the Blue Ribbon Schools program and he developed the P.A.L. House program. Since 1999, Mr. Little has been a realtor with Sibcy Cline and was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown, Lincoln Lodge #693 F. & A.M., Valley of Dayton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and Lebanon Kiwanis. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Keith Little, survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda (nee: Seifert) Little, one son, David Little (Holly) of Wyoming, OH, one daughter, Laura Little of Montgomery, OH, and three grandchildren, Paige Skylar, Piper Anne and Porter David Little. Also surviving are two brothers, Greg Little of Glenwood Springs, CO and Bob Little (Gayle) of Greenville, OH, father-in-law, Elmer F. Seifert of Springfield, OH, and brother-in-law, Larry Seifert (Becky) of Columbus, OH. Masonic & Scottish Rite services were held Saturday, November 10th, beginning at 9:30 AM, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown. The funeral service was at 10:00 AM at the church with Rev. Dr. David E. Moreland officiating. Interment was Saturday afternoon in the Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield, OH.
