News Death Notice

LOUALLEN, Crannel E. "Gene" age 91 of South Lebanon passed Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown. Born July 11, 1921 in Lawrence County, Alabama, Gene was the son of Luther and Pearl (Farmer) Louallen and a proud US Army Veteran. Gene was retired from the General Motors Company, was a member of the United Auto Workers and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in South Lebanon. Preceded in death by his parents, first wife Thelma Louallen, second wife Nadine Louallen, brothers Russell and Arlon Louallen and sister Flora Long; Gene leaves behind his sons Arnold (Lila) Louallen of Lebanon and Bruce Louallen of South Lebanon; daughters Bobbi Mapes of Norwood and Doris Louallen of South Lebanon; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home with Reverend Arthur McFarland officiating. Burial was in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon.
