CIRESI-IMHOLTE, Dominica Maria Lucia ("Marie") 96, died Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Triple Creek Retirement Center following a brief illness. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Imholte, as well as her parents, Cosimo "Samuel" Ciresi and Cosima "Maggie" Mercurio-Ciresi and siblings Charles and Samuel Ciresi, Sylvia Covey, Margaret Klawitter. Marie leaves a beloved daughter, Donna O'Connor (James) and devoted son, John (Beth), as well as five grandsons: James (Stephanie), Kenneth (Chrissy) and Daniel (Sarah) O'Connor, Jason and Nicholas Imholte, and 7 great grandchildren. Marie is also survived by a sister Rosemary Ruthemeyer, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Marie was born and raised in Price Hill, a member of St. William's parish. In her early career she worked in the family fruit business and for Crosley Corporation. During WWII Marie was proud of her work as a real life "Rosie the Riveter" for Wright Air Force base. Marie also worked 30+ years for the former Mabley and Carew Department store and won numerous sales awards. When they retired, she and her husband moved to Ross, Ohio. After her husband's death, Marie was devoted to her family, loved word searches, cheering the Cincinnati Reds, listening to music and playing solitaire via her iPad. Visitation will be held at St. Aloysius Church, 3350 Chapel Road, Shandon, Ohio on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trilogy Foundation, 11230 Pippin Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. www.charlesyoungfuneralhome.com.
