SANDERS, Doris Jane (Frechtling) age 91, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at her home. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 5, 1922, the daughter of Carl Henry and Glenna (Bevington) Frechtling. Doris attended Jackson Elementary grade school and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1940. Mrs. Sanders received a B.A. degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She also graduated from the Tobe Coburn School of Fashion Design in New York City, New York. Doris was a sportswear buyer for the John Shillito Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio. On August 14, 1946, in St. Peter in Chains Church Doris married Herman E. "Bud" Sanders and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2005. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Hamilton Y.W.C.A., and the Hamilton Garden Club. Survivors include two sons, Michael B. (Linda) Sanders and Herman R. "Sandy" (Ingrid) Sanders, both of Hamilton; a daughter, Lisa J. (Michael) Obringer, of Jacksonville, Florida, seven grandchildren, H. Scott Sanders, of New York City, Kimberly E. (Josh) Korth of Denver, Colorado, Kelly J. (Chris) Fredlake of Washington, D.C., Matthew M. Obringer of Jacksonville, Florida, Erin M. Sanders of San Francisco, California, , Michael B. Sanders and Abigail M. Sanders both of Hamilton; two great-grandchildren, Emily Grace Fredlake of Washington, D.C. and Jackson Joshua Korth of Denver, Colorado. Besides her husband, Herman, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James C. Frechtling. Those who wish to participate in the celebration of Doris's life are invited to join the family at the First Presbyterian Church, 23 S. Front St. Hamilton, Ohio 45011 on Wednesday, July 17th at 11:00am. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00am Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired memorials may be made in Doris's name to the Herman E. and Doris J. Sanders Scholarship Fund c/o the Hamilton Community Foundation, 319 N. Third St. Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
