News Death Notice

KULICK, Jacqueline Sue Died on Saturday, March 1, 2014, age 78. Born 8/13/35 in Gary, IN to the late Robert and Verna (Wheeler) Williams. Also preceded in death by her first husband, John Batcheller. Beloved wife of Allan Kulick for nearly 25 years. Loving mother of Scott Batcheller. Dear sister of Pat (John) Jennings of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Judy (Doug) McLaren of Glen Ellyn, IL. Also survived by many nephews and nieces. Sue graduated from Indiana State University with a BS in elementary education. She taught in Gary, IN, Cincinnati, OH, and Meadville, PA before moving to Middletown and teaching primarily third grade at Amanda Elementary School. Sue was a member of Forest Hills Country Club for over 30 years where she enjoyed playing golf. She was an active member of The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Butler County. Sue was also a member of The President's Club of The Ohio State University and a long-time home season football ticket holder. Over the years, a game-day routine evolved involving breakfast or lunch at the Blackwell Inn, the Skull Session of TBDBITL at St. John Arena, the game, halftime show, and Carmen Ohio after the game, and dinner at the original The Old Bag of Nails Pub in Worthington. Sue truly enjoyed her fall Saturdays in Columbus watching the Buckeyes. Sue was a Middfest volunteer for many years. She belonged to AAUW, Ohio Retired Teachers Association, and Butler County Retired Teachers Association. Sue was an avid reader, enjoyed working in her yard, and also enjoyed travelling in Europe and in the USA. Visitation will be 10:00 to 12:00 Friday March 7 followed by a service celebrating Sue's life at 12:00 Noon at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank everyone at Mount Pleasant and Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties for their kind understanding and care.
