News Death Notice

LANDRUM, Ruth P. 90, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Liberty of Middletown. She was born on January 29, 1923 in Pomeroy, OH to James & Emma Mae (Roof) Hill. Ruth loved playing bingo and was an avid card player. She also loved the Green Bay Packers and her family. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert M. Landrum Sr.; her son, Rocky Landrum; her brother, Hubert Hill; and her sisters, Geneva, Lucille and Theda. She is survived by her sons, Robert M. (Beth) Landrum Jr., Jon P. (Pat) Landrum and Al (Sally) Utz; her step-son, Melvin (Donna) DeCross; her daughter, Joni Gillespie; 14 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special "Thank you" to the staff at Liberty of Middletown and Hospice of Dayton for their love and care of Ruth. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2103 from 11am-1pm at the Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1 pm with Pastor Chuck Cotton officiating. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park.
