News Death Notice

MASON, Thelma Age 90, of Hamilton died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton on August 8, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Bowling) Sandlin. She was a graduate of Seven Mile High School and attended business school. She married Fred I. Mason on October 21, 1950 in Richmond, Indiana and he preceded her in death September 23, 1967. She had been employed as a paper sorter at Champion Papers for 17 years and employed at Pillsbury Corporation for 7 years. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Richard) Weber, Hamilton; her brother, Gary (Carol) Sandlin, Suwanee, Georgia; her grandson, Christopher Alexander; many nieces and nephews and some very good friends, Betty and Bob Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sisters, Beulah Sandlin and Phyllis Crawford. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Rev. Edwin Beck officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
