News Death Notice

GROVE, Jr., Arthur B. Age 88, of Hamilton, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his home. He was born in Hamilton on April 10, 1926, the son of Arthur B., Sr. and Bernice (Archabald) Grove. He was 1944 graduate of Hamilton High School and a WWII veteran of the U. S. Navy. He married Marian Brookes on March 29, 1985 in Hamilton. Art had been employed as a production manager for Mosler Safe Company for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of First St. John United Church of Christ and enjoyed golf, carpentry and vegetable gardening. He is survived by his wife, Marian; two sons, John (Gail) Grove, Vero Beach, Florida and Robert (Sheila) Grove, Hamilton; a daughter, Deborah Grove, Vero Beach, Florida; two step sons, Bob (Mary) Hammel , Tinley Park, Illinois and Ronnie (Michelle) Hammel, Hamilton; a brother, Kenneth (Carolyn) Grove; a sister, Virginia (Lee) Lamb, all of Hamilton; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Allison Grove on July 26, 1982, a son, William Grove and two brothers, James Grove and Charles Grove. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice nurse, Kelly and to Tabatha for their loving care. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Pastor Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral.
