News Death Notice

PHILPOT, Coyt age 70 of Hamilton, passed away at West Chester Hospital on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:45AM. He was born in Hamilton on March 11, 1943 to Robert and Dora (Reed) Philpot. On September 21, 1963 in Gordon Avenue Baptist Church he married Diane Pine, whom they celebrated 50 years of marriage this past September. Coyt was employed as a truck driver for over forty years and enjoyed driving the road long after that. He was a dedicated member of the First Church of God of Princeton Rd. for seven years. He enjoyed camping with his family and building camp fires. Coyt was most proud of his family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his wife Diane, children Michael (Tracie), Robert (Vicky), Gregory (Courtney), and Sharon (Kelley) Haiber; grandchildren Brian, Shawna (Tyler), Andrew, Noah, Caleb, Ava, Cece, Chelsea, Dustin, Aaron, Logan, Jack, Kalayna, Kaitlyn, Madisen; one great grandson Odyn; sisters Vivian Howard, Wanda Mason, and Diana Cotton and one brother William Philpot; and many other cousins and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 11 AM with Pastor Chuck Cotton of Calvary Baptist Church of Middletown officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
