News Death Notice

BREWER, Dewey A. age 85, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born January 14, 1928 to Floyd and Gladys (Quinlan) Brewer in Nada, KY. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a P.O. W. for 28 months. He worked for Armco Steel for 35 years and retired as a pipe fitter in 1983. He worshiped with the Bethlehem Temple First Pentecostal Church and a member of the Middletown V. F. W. #3809. Dewey is survived by his children, Teresa (Richard) Rockwood of Goodyear, AZ, Freda Cook of Glendale, AZ, Doug (Louise) Brewer and Todd (Susan) Brewer of Chandler, AZ; step-children, Bobby Carr of GA and Patti (Bob) Housh of Middletown, OH; 12 grandchildren, step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Campbell of MI, Velma Coleson of KY and Minnie (Tommy) Phillips of NC; sister-in -law, Morene Brewer of TN and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Brewer, his parents, sister, Imogene Campbell-Tucker and brothers, Leonard, Arthur, Henry and Winford Brewer. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life services will follow on Monday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Smith officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.bakerstevensparramore.com.
