News Death Notice

HOFFMAN (Bruner), Frances M. age 92, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Woodland Country Manor. She was born on June 25, 1921, to the late Stephen and Marie (Ehle) Bruner, in Hamilton, Ohio. She was married to Donald A Hoffman (deceased) at St. Peter's in Hamilton, OH on April 8, 1942. They enjoyed many happy years together on the farm they owned, located on Somerville Road in Oxford, Ohio. Fran & Don raised 9 children and were married for 47 years. They were both lifetime member s of St. Mary's Catholic Church Oxford, and were very involved in many of the ministries including Eucharistic Minister. Her faith and her religious community were the focus of her life. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and McCullough-Hyde Hospital. She enjoyed her upholstery business and took great pride in her work. Fran enjoyed many years in Florida as a seasonal resident, with her very special son, Donnie. She owned a condo in Fort Myers where she had many friends, loved being active, listened to Daniel O'Donnell and played cards and scrabble with her friends & family. Fran attended Notre Dame High School and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1939. She was so proud of her family and her 9 children, 18 grandchildren, & 19 great grandchildren. She is survived by her 6 daughters; Carol (Phillip) Wagers, Liberty Township, Anne (Joseph) Simeone, Ft. Myers, FL, Marlene Hoffman, Oxford,OH, Monica (Dr.Kris) Kelley, Perrysburg, OH, Julie Rader, Mt. Healthy, Cincinnati, OH, Kim Lamblez, Burlington, KY and her 2 sons Neil (Denise)Hoffman, Booneville, KY, Edward (Diana) Hoffman, Mainville, OH and grandchildren, Lori (David) Auer, Terry (Scott) Vizedom, Jerry (Linda) Dingledine, Lisa (Mark) Pennington, Heather (Jeff) Dingledine, Jeff (Gretchen) Simeone, Angie (Steve) Rzasnicki, Aaron (Cassie) Kuertz, Megan (Jeremy) Boone, Alan Hoffman, Kristi (David) Beckman, Emily (John) Jones, Lauren (Blake) Daney, Sean Kelley, Nicholas Rader, David Rader, Landon Lamblez, Ryan Lamblez. Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Hoffman in 1989, her son, Donnie Hoffman in 2008 and brothers Robert (Bob) and John (Jack) Bruner. She is survived by her siblings Dolores (Donald) Wade, Stephen (Jeanine) Bruner and sister-in-laws Jeanne Bruner, Lois Bruner and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was very blessed to be in the care of her grandchildren at Woodland Country Manor for the last 5 years of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary Church, 111 E. High St. Oxford, OH 45056 or St. Vincent de Paul. Visitation 6-8:00 pm Friday evening March 7th at Ogle Paul Young Funeral Home. www.oglepaulyoungfuneralhome.com. St. Mary Church will have a Mass then a Christian burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014.
