WAGONFIELD, Julia "Vikie" Age 88, a resident of Berkeley Square Retirement Community died Friday, March 7, 2014. She was born in Ross on April 11, 1925, the daughter of John H. and Miranda (Johnson) Hacker. She was a graduate of Ross High School. She married Eugene F. "Knute" Wagonfield on January 23, 1943 in Hamilton and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2013. She had been employed at Champion Papers for 20 years. She was a loving and devoted wife to Knute for 70 years and a wonderful and caring mother to Mike and Danny. She loved spending time with her five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Vikie and Knute always supported the interests of their family, attending all their games and activities. She loved her family and their holidays together. Vikie had a great love for nurturing her flowers and caring for her home inside and out. She is survived by her two sons, Mike (Janette) Wagonfield of Hamilton and Danny (Bonnie) Wagonfield of Nashville, Tennessee; a brother, John "Gabby" (Mae) Hacker; two sisters, Norma Johns and Peggy (Tom) Fowler all of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Ben (Amanda) Wagonfield, Brooke (Ryan) Little, Chance (Esther) Wagonfield, Seth (Becky) Wagonfield and Zane Wagonfield; five great grandchildren, Cannon, Georgia and Mae Little, Trevor and Tanner Wagonfield. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Chaplain Galen Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Darrtown Cemetery.
