MEYERS, Larry Eugene "Duke" age 73 of Ross, Ohio passed away at his residence on Tuesday afternoon, April 1, 2014. He was born on October 4, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Eugene and Marie (Corson) Meyers. He attended Harrison Schools and was employed by Watson Gravel for 30 years where he operated heavy equipment and drove trucks. On May 11, 1974 he married Janet Eschenbrenner in Ross, Ohio. He was a member of Snow Lodge #193 F&AM, Shriners, and Knights of Pythias. Duke enjoyed animals, flowers, and rides in the country with his buddy, Larry Webb and talking to friends along the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law, Pete Miller and Janet Miller; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Swafford; and fathers-in-law, Don Eschenbrenner and L.B. Swafford. He is survived by his wife, Janet Meyers; two brothers, Harry (Jean) Meyers and Jim Miller; two sisters, Jean (Ron) Welch, Joan (Bud) Browning, and sister-in-law Norma Miller; his mother-in-law, Wilma Eschenbrenner; four brothers-in-law, Don (Linda) Eschenbrenner, John (Tonya) Eschenbrenner, Dan Eschenbrenner, and Ken (Mary) Spradlin; five sisters-in-law, Donna (Sam) Pittman, Mary (Larry) Webb, Sharon (Bob) Wiley, Brenda Horsley, Carol (Billy) Geer; and over 100 nieces and nephews and their spouses varying in age from 65 years to 1 year. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Richard Sternberg and the staff of Hospice of Southwest Ohio, especially Janet, Richard, and Jonny. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road on Friday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM with Masonic services at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with burial following in Venice Cemetery in Ross.
