News Death Notice

DUNN, Margaret Ann Lewis age 86, passed away Saturday December 28, 2013 at her home following an extended illness. Born May 27, 1927 to Albert Fritch Lewis and Mary Ann Gooch Lewis. Margaret Ann grew up in Franklin and graduated in the class of 1945 from Franklin High School. Robert Eugene Dunn and Margaret Ann were married in 1949 and resided most of their married life in the Miami Valley Cahutauqua. They celebrated their 60th anniversary before Bob's death in 2009. Margaret was employed in the medical field for 41 years, retiring in 1986 as office manager from the Middletown Medical Center, Inc. Preceding her in death are her parents, on sister, Mary Kathryn McNabb and her dear husband Bob. She is survived by their son Robert Lewis Dunn and wife Karen of Batavia, OH, a grandson Robert Thomas Dunn and wife Brenda of Warsaw, KY, and a great grandson R.J. Dunn. Survivors include special nieces, nephews, and caring neighbors and friends. Margaret was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Springboro and had previously served as a Deacon and Elder in the Franklin Presbyterian Church. At Covenant, Margaret served as Moderator of Covenant Presbyterian Women and had been honored as a Life Member of Presbyterian Women. She was a past member of Soroptimist International of Middletown, the American Business Women's Association, and Phi Beta Psi Sorority sponsoring Cancer Research. She was a current member of Deardoff Senior Center and recently served as President of their Advisory Board. A memorial service is planned for 11am Saturday January 4, 2014 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Rev. Lee Dorsey officiating. You may visit with family an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, Springboro, OH, The , or Hospice of Middletown.
