News Death Notice

PERKINS, Ralph W. age 88 of Lebanon passed peacefully Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Kindred Nursing Care with his family by his side. Born September 13, 1924 in Corbin, KY, Ralph was the son of Ambrose P. and Mina E. (Hinkle) Perkins and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ralph attended Walnut HIlls High School in Cincinnati and was a graduate of University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. Ralph was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of World War II where he participated in the invasion of the Island of Tarawa and several other battles in the South Pacific and a member of the Urbancrest Baptist Church. Ralph had lived in Lebanon for the past 22 years coming from Wilmington and had been owner/operator of Cloke & Associates Insurance Agency in Lockland, was an adjuster in the insurance industry for Aetna Casualty & Surety and Republic Franklin Insurance Company over a period of 25 years and was a bail bondsman with A-1 Bail Bonds in Lebanon. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Thelma Eybel and an infant brother, Ralph leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 22 years Dorothy "Dottie" (nee Fitzpatrick) Perkins of Lebanon; sons Mark Allen (Julie) Perkins of Boulder, Co, Gary Richard (Alice) Perkins of North Vernon, Ind. and John William (Dana) Perkins of Lebanon; stepdaughter Yvonne (Jim) Lyons of Lebanon; sister Joyce Perkins Purnell of Butlerville, Ind.; grandchildren Conner & Christina Perkins, Jami Lynne (Jeremy) Mathis, Ryan & Emily Perkins, Michelle (Stanley) Froman and Steven (Crysta) Litzy; great grandchildren Steven Joseph Litzy, Nathaniel and Karleigh Honious and many other family members, friends and neighbors. Friends may call on the family Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Private graveside committal services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00am with Military Honors at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
