Cecilia Klein Obituary
Cecilia J. "Busia"
Cecilia J. "Busia" Klein, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Mercy St. Anne Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born November 12, 1925, in Toledo, OH to Frank and Victoria (Kajfasz) Knapik. Cecilia worked in accounting for the Kroger Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1975. She was a former parishioner of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church and a current member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Cecilia was a devoted wife and mother who cherished being a Busia and great-Busia. She enjoyed taking the grandchildren on family vacations. A skilled seamstress, she sewed countless dresses, curtains and Halloween costumes. She was also an avid baker who loved making the holidays special with her homemade baked goods and Polish sausage.
Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Denise (Blaine) Brown; grandchildren, Dennis, Jeremie (Kara), Derrick (Jenn), Victoria, and Thaddeus Brown; great grandchildren, Arthur, Jacob, Katherine, Audrey, Derrick, and Brock; sisters, Wanda Knapik, Minnie Nowaczak, Lillian (Tom) Hoffman, and Phyllis Kujawa; brother, Gerald Knapik, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Klein; sister, Helen Koperski, and brothers, Ollie and Nate Knapik.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
