GERKEN Joshua Carl Joshua Carl Gerken, 34, of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born on October 19, 1977, in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Dennis and Cindi (Latta) Gerken. He married Nichole Borstelman on August 6, 2005. Josh worked with his father. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Napoleon. He graduated from Napoleon High School in 1996 and attended Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Josh is survived by his parents, Dennis and Cindi Gerken; his wife, Nichole Gerken; brother, Brandon (Jamie) Gerken; nine nieces and nephews, Addison, Ashlyn, and Skyler Gerken, Chyanne Sandt, and Dylan, Ethan, Eli, Exzander, and Marlena Borstelman; paternal grandmother, Velma Gerken; maternal grandfather, Maurice Latta; step maternal grandfather, Donald Crampton; father and mother-in-law, Terry and Deb Borstelman, and his loving dog, Sadie. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Delbert Carl Gerken and his maternal grandmother, Norma Crampton. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Snyder Wesche Funeral Home of Napoleon and on Wednesday for one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Emanuel Lutheran Church of Napoleon, Ohio with Rev. James Castello, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wauseon, Ohio. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
