Roberto Gene Guerrero Sr.

Robert "Bob" Guerrero Sr., 71, of Toledo, died Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born on May 3rd, 1949, in Findlay, OH, to Roberto A. Martinez and Alicia Barboza Guerrero. He married Irma Gonzales on February 5, 1973. Bob worked at Ply Gem Windows for 27 plus years. He also was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Ramon Barboza; daughter, Roberta Guerrero; grandson, Sebastian "Sob Sob" R. Guerrero; and sister, Alicia (Guadalupe) Barboza. Survivors include his wife Irma; stepmom, Guadalupe Martinez; children, Roberto (Eliza) Guerrero Jr., Sebastian (Crissy) Guerrero, Monica Guerrero, Martina Guerrero, David Herrera, and Amy (Jack) O'Rourke; siblings, Melinda Sanchez and Ruben Orozco; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are half-siblings, Roland M. (Gina) Martinez, Roberto M. Martinez, Sandra L. Martinez, Ruby (Corey) Martinez, George A. (Julie) Martinez, Margot (Gerald) Martinez; and Roberto (Angelina) Martinez Jr.; and those that called him Grandpa, Uncle, and Friend.

Visitation will be Friday, January 22, from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. The VFW 606 Burial Corps will conclude with Military Honors in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

I would like to extend my condolences for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, sibling.

I have nothing but nice things to say about Bob. He was a very respectful, kind, caring friend. He will be missed. I’m sorry that due to COVID19 this past year I never had a chance to run into him out and about. Rest In Peace Bob you will be missed
