Rita Gladieux
Rita Irving, 75, a born again Christian, passed away on June 27, 2016, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on March 29, 1941, to Arthur and Alice (Timm) Gladieux. Rita was a retired police officer for the City of Northwood where she also served as the treasury clerk. She loved football and was a loyal Notre Dame and Buffalo Bills fan. Rita was an avid reader and enjoyed politics and debating. The most important thing to her was spending time with her family who she loved more than anything.
Rita is survived by her husband of 55 years, Louis “Red”; children, Lisa (Steve) Thomas and Stephanie Irving; grandchildren, Jonathan (Brittany) Olinger, Ariel, Alyssa, Anya Danyi; great-grandson, Jaxon Olinger; sister, Jacquelyn (Calvin) Lentz; niece, Lyn; nephews, Stephen and Calvin; many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Rita's name are asked to consider a charity of the donor's choice.
