Dearest Mary and Cathy, I just learned of Rolly's passing through phone conversation with my Dad, (Pete Spang) . I'm so sorry for your loss. You all were part of my childhood with very fond memories of the BIG Gagnet Family next door. I always loved running into you both once in awhile at Glendale G. Café / Krogers , etc.. Mary, Tony, and Jim. I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Gagnet had a profound effect on my life. I first met him at 16 busing tables at the Surf Supper Club. He gave me his business card and told me to call him when I graduated from high school. At 19 I called and ended up working for Tony and Jim, who later gave me an apprenticeship.
I will always be grateful for your family's generosity.

Mary: Pat and I have you and your family in our prayers. I feel like I have lost part of my youth. I can't stop thinking of all the things Rolly and I did together when we were young. Swimming and skating in and on the Maumee River, building model planes, flying paper planes off the top of the grain elevator, hopping a freight train to the Toledo Zoo, tricking our parents into letting us buy motor bikes and many other adventures. I will miss you old pal and of course "Gotcha last". Thanks for the memories.

So sorry old Darby schoolmate from the 2nd grade and Army Paratrooper buddy. You were my running instructor when they finally sent me to Ft. Benning Ga. We sure had fun on weekends there. You had one more parachute jump than I and always one up on me. Glad the 4 of us got together for lunch this past April. Showed the photo we took to friends and bragged that we were all still here, but now there are 3 left.I'll be following you soon and looking forward to seeing you up there.
Your great friend, Jake.
