Jones, Marilyn - Sylvania  
JONES Marilyn K. Marilyn K. Jones, 70, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at her Sylvania home. Marilyn was born November 21, 1944, in Lima, OH, to parents, George and Kaye (Vossler) Armacost, and they preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Lima Senior High School and attended the Lima Branch of The Ohio State University. Marilyn was employed with the J.L. Hudson Company for more than 20 years. She began her career as a contingent worker, and as a result of her hard work and dedication, moved into an executive position, where she was in charge of credit and inventory control. She was a long and faithful member of the Little Flower Parish, serving as Co-Chairman of the annual Little Flower Festival, a member of Parish Council, a Lecture at weekly Masses, and a volunteer with the school lunch program. Marilyn was an avid fan of Ohio State Buckeyes Football. She enjoyed attending as many games as possible, the most recent being the fall of 2013. Her hobbies included anything that she could do with her sons; they were her life. Movies, concerts, riding in a golf cart on a beautiful summer day, and spending holidays with her family and friends were some of the things that made her happiest. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Warren E. Jones; sons, Jon W. (Lisa) and Christopher W. Jones; sisters, Lynn (Elsass) and Marsha (Herbert); brother, William (Tammy) Armacost; nieces, Tammy, Kim, Ronda, and Shelly; nephews, William, Todd, Dwayne, Tim, Ron, and Randy. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Margo Hoetzel. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Sunday, March 1st from 4-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be conducted at the Little Flower Catholic Church, Monday at 11 a.m., where Marilyn's body will lie in state one hour prior. Those wishing to offer memorials in Marilyn's memory are asked to consider, the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Kirkendall, Jacqueline - Oregon  
KIRKENDALL Jacqueline V. (O'Neill) Jacqueline V. Kirkendall (O'Neill), 70, of Sylvania, OH passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, at her residence in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was born on August 4, 1944, in Toledo to Donald and June O'Neill who preceded her in death along with her brother, Thomas O'Neill. Jacqueline, a member of the DeVilbiss class of 1962, graduated from The University of Toledo with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education. She retired from Oregon City Schools after 31 years of service. Left to cherish her memory are Gary, husband of 49 years; sons, John Holden and David Kirkendall; daughters, Sue Kirkendall and Sarah Ison; grandchildren, Jack, Mackenzie, Kevin, Myles, Thomas, and sister, Peggy Nowak. Friends are invited to gather at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. KNAPIK Ila M. Ila M. Knapik, age 86, died February 24, 2015, in her Sylvania Township home. She was the daughter of Isaac and Martha Ward and worked as a beautician. Ila was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and her sister, Gladys. Surviving are her son, Les (Melissa) Beland; brothers, Dale and Arthur; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 N. Reynolds Rd. (between Central and Bancroft) where family and friends will be received beginning at 9 a.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park.

Lasater, Richard - Oregon  
LASATER Richard H. Richard H. Lasater, 83, formerly of Oregon, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, in Elgin, IL. He was born on September 20, 1931, in Toledo to Claud and Esther Lasater. Richard was a 1951 graduate of Waite High School and worked as coke cutter for B.P.-Standard Oil and as a polisher for L.O.F. He was a member of Heritage Christian Church where he was involved in the Senior Group. Richard also ran a ceramic shop with his wife, called Sally's Ceramics. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sally Lasater; children, Deborah (Michael) Ryan, Gary (Teresa) Lasater and Brad (Melinda) Lasater; 4 grandchildren and his sister, Dorothy (John) Lamprost. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gayland Lasater. Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Manzey, Richard - Monroe  
MANZEY Richard P. "Dick" Richard "Dick" P. Manzey left this life peacefully on February 24, 2015, at UT Medical Center after a short battle with cancer at the age of 92. Dick was born in Toledo, Ohio and grew up in the South end. He graduated from Libbey H.S., Toledo in 1940. He enlisted and served proudly in the United States Navy, Atlantic Fleet, in WWII as a Seaman and Electrician aboard the USS Achelous. Dick then married the love of his life, Angela Marie Davidson, with whom he spent the next 62 years of his life until she preceded him in death in 2009. His careers included working for Western Electric, Dictaphone Corp and Owens Illinois, from which he retired in 1982 after 27 years of service. In addition to his beautiful wife, Dick's "loves" included his hobbies of amateur radio (call sign K8ISE), photography and listening to good music on the radio (like that played by Ragtime Rick on Saturday mornings). Dick is survived by his three loving daughters, Beth-Anne Zaenger, Christine Manzey and Laura Manzey; his "4th daughter," Belinda Costin; his sons-in-law, Chris Zaenger and Elliot Tramer; his grandchildren and their spouses, Heather Iler and Nik Zisk; Holly and Aaron Rhodes; David Tramer; Kevin and Ali Zaenger; Katy and Jason Moore, and great-grandchildren, Madison and Garrett Zisk; Casza, Gabrielle and Jorryn Rhodes; Lily, Violet and Emmy Rose Zaenger; Xavier and Mia Moore. The entire family wants to express gratitude to the caring and loving staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio by requesting that donations be made to this organization in his name. Visitation will be held at Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015. MARIEA Janice K. Janice K. Mariea, 52, of Findlay and formerly of Castalia passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 5, 1962, in Sandusky to Neil and Dolores (Clark) Mariea and was a 1981 graduate of Margaretta High School. Janice was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance, Toledo Office and prior to this, she worked at Sprouse Agency in Fremont. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Castalia. She is survived by her daughter, Hannah (Sammy) Mitchell of Durham, North Carolina; her significant other, Jim Otley of Findlay, Ohio; her mother, Dolores Mariea of Sarasota, Florida; two brothers, Steve (Maria) Mariea of Dover, Ohio and Jeff (Martha) Mariea of Milan, Ohio; one sister, Sharon Mariea of Sarasota, Florida; one stepson, Eric (Paula) Lapata of Sandusky; two nephews, Brian (Jen) and Brandon Mariea, and three nieces, Madelyn, Emily, Ashley Mariea, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Neil Mariea. Friends may call Friday, February 27, 2015, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. MARTIN William T. "Horse" William "Bill" "Horse" Martin, age 42 of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, February 23, 2015, at his home. Bill was born on November 24, 1972, in Toledo. He was employed with Royal Pizza of Northwood and Danny's Pizza and More of Rossford. He took great pride in his pizza making abilities and would love to see the reaction of customers when they took that first bite of one of his amazing creations such as the Pierogi Pizza. Bill enjoyed music and helping others. He was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor. He was a dear friend to many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Surviving is his mother, Vickie Smith; stepfather, C.B. Smith; sister, Mary Smith; dear friends, Lisa Materni, Steve Lang, Marcus Cervetto and many more, and his uncle, Daniel Martin. Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benton and Mary Martin, and his aunt, Rhea Martin. Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow in the funeral home at 4 p.m. Interment will be private. Myers, Jerome - Sylvania  
MYERS Jerome Marvin Jerome Marvin Myers, 76, of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015, at his home, under Hospice care. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 8, 1938, to Jerome W. and Esther E. (Sulier) Myers. Jerry was raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and graduated from Saint Mary's High School (Akron, Ohio) in 1956. He attended the United States Coast Guard Academy (New London, Connecticut), graduating in 1960. After his first tour with the U.S. Coast Guard in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, he attended flight training in Pensacola, Florida. Jerry enjoyed a successful military career as a pilot, proudly serving as Commanding Officer twice. He attained the rank of Captain before retiring from the Coast Guard in 1985. Jerome very much enjoyed his post service career as corporate pilot for Rokeby Farms (Upperville, Virginia), ultimately retiring from flying in 1999. His retirement years were spent in Fairfax, Virginia. Jerry is survived by his children, Pamella, Jay, Edward, and Marelle Myers; his beloved aunt, Suzanne (Sulier) VanGoey; uncle, Frederick Sulier (Dorothy), and many loving cousins. Friends may join the family at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Ohio on Friday, February 27, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Rosary at 8 p.m.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
