Stanbery, Alice Mae - Hamilton  
STANBERY Alice Mae Alice Mae Stanbery, age 96, of Hamilton, passed away at Bradford Place on Thursday, April 23, 2015. She was born in Toledo on July 21, 1918, to Stephan and Stella (Jazionowski) Nowakowski. Alice was employed as a clerk for the County Commissioners Office and the Board of Elections in Lucas County. She was a member of St. Hedwig Parish and Rosary Cathedral in Toledo for many years. On December 19, 1942, in Toledo, she married Sanford Richard Stanbery, and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1972. Her family was her life. She is survived by her children, Paul (Patricia) Stanbery of Hamilton, Michael (Paula) Stanbery of Knoxville, TN, and Fr. Stephan Stanbery, of Archbold, OH; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Teresa Karwowski, and one infant brother Casimir Nowakowski. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held for family only. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Toledo, OH on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor. ALBRIGHT Mable V. Mable V. Albright, age 92, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Mable was born June 6, 1922, in Toledo to the late John and Mary Jane Coleman and was a 1942 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, participating in multiple women's choruses throughout the years. Mable was a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and later Christ Presbyterian Church, singing in both church choirs. She loved life, enjoyed traveling and shopping but found her greatest joy spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Mable is survived by her children, Craig (Linda) Stiegelmeyer, Carren Jones, Sandra Springman, and Mark Albright; grandchildren, Tricia Aliff, Whitney Jones, Lindsay (Joe) Kunis and Jenny (Jeff) Perin, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mattie L. Hoffman. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Chapman, George - Monroe  
CHAPMAN George William George William Chapman, 79, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away peacefully April 7, 2015, following a courageous and dignified battle against cancer. He was born February 27, 1936, in Lancaster, OH to Woodrow and Opal Chapman. George was a 1955 graduate of Burnham High School and attended Litho Technical Foundation in Chicago, IL graduating in 1957. As an avid bow-hunter George enjoyed many years of deer season with his close friends and family. George was an owner-operator of three Chapman's Quick Print stores for 40 years. As an active member in the Kiwanis Club of Monroe Michigan, and the Chamber of Commerce, George enjoyed volunteering for many community and business events. Throughout the years George loved spending time with his family and friends at the family's cottage on Long Lake in Reading, MI. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Nancy Hook Chapman; children, Roxanne (Jeff) Damask, Greg (Carol) Chapman, Stephanie (Bruce) Davis, and stepchildren, Stacey (Kevin) Stiles, Cara (Jake) Jones, and Steve (Bridget) Hood; 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held in George's honor Saturday, April 25 at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH, with visitation from noon - 2:30 p.m.; a brief service will be held immediately following. Drews, Frederick - Maumee  
DREWS Frederick R. Jr. "Fred" Frederick R. "Fred" Drews Jr., 95, of The Elizabeth Scott Community in Maumee, Ohio and formerly a longtime resident of South Toledo, passed away April 15, 2015, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Campus. Fred was born on April 25, 1919, in Toledo, Ohio to Frederick R. and Esther (Miller) Drews Sr. Fred was a graduate of Waite High School and served in the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII where he was wounded during battle in Nancy, France and received a purple heart. Fred retired from Toledo Stamping as Vice President of Manufacturing where he began his career while he was in high school. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish on Lake Erie. Fred was a devoted grandfather to his three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Austin; sisters, Virginia Thomas and Jane Kelly and brothers, Robert and John Drews. Surviving are his daughters, Marcia (Tony) Helman and Sandra (James) Hoesley; grandchildren, Matthew (Kyla) Hoesley, Mimi (Ben) Slater, and Connor Hoesley and his great-grandchildren, Oliver and Eli Hoesley. The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd., near Byrne Road, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, after 9 a.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ft. Meigs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. DUKETT James O. James O. Dukett, age 53, of South Toledo, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. James was born in Toledo, OH on December 30, 1961 to Elaine (Dukett) Golatka. Jim was employed as a landscape crew leader at ProTurf Lawn & Landscape. Jim is survived by his wife, Heather Richardson; children, Jessica Dukett, Alex (Danielle) Richardson, Tiffany Dukett, Kyle (Tiffany Jade) Youngblood, Harlee (Dalton) Wilkinson and Taylor Dukett and 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Steven Dukett, Wayne (Christy) Phillips and Anthony Dukett. In addition to his grandparents and mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kelly Phillips and grandsons, Taevion Maulsby and Mason Richardson. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on April 25th at 1 p.m. at Monroe Street United Methodist Church, 3613 Monroe St., Toledo, OH.
