Tanalski, Jack - Maumee  
TANALSKI Jack C. Jack C Tanalski, 85, of Maumee, OH passed away peacefully Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a brief and brave battle with lung cancer. Born in Toledo to Leonard and Elsie (Chapman) Tanalski on February 7, 1929, he was the youngest of six children. He attended Libbey High School, graduating in 1947. On December 11, 1948, he married Phyllis Bogart of Findlay and she survives. He met Phyllis at Strater Cleaners in Toledo. They would have celebrated 66 years of marriage on December 11, 2014. Jack and Phyllis moved to Maumee to raise their family and never left. He was a wonderful father and treasured times spent with family and friends. Jack was a devoted Detroit Tigers fan. Jack worked for Prudential Insurance early in his career. When he returned to the dry cleaning business, he attended the National Institute of Dry Cleaning in Silver Spring, MD in 1955. He worked many years for Sanitary Cleaners in Maumee which was owned by his wife's uncle. In 1967, he fulfilled a career dream which was to own his own business. He opened River Glen Cleaners on Glendale Ave. in Toledo. In time, he acquired the Sanitary Cleaners he had previously worked for. He never retired from the profession he loved. He was a true people person. Until this past summer and for the past 40 years, he worked side by side with his son, Chris and daughter, Kathy. He considered working with his children a real blessing in his life. Jack was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee; he was Maumee's Outstanding Citizen in 1993; he was a past member of the Maumee Rotary; Maumee Chamber of Commerce past president and former board member; Maumee Uptown Business Association; participated in the Maumee Summer Fairs and he twice made a run for Maumee City Council. In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Dennis) Parish and Kathy Weaver; 3 grandchildren, Emily, Carrie, Carson; and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents. He was preceded in death by his son Chris on July 6th of this year. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway St., Maumee, OH. A short liturgical service will follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, 30000 E River Rd, Perrysburg, OH 43551; or St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Teets, Richard - Maumee  
TEETS Richard L. Sr. Richard L. Teets Sr., 74, died November 25, 2014, surrounded by his family after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra; a devoted father to Richard Jr., Brooke, Paige, and Christopher; a dedicated grandfather to Alexandria, David, Nicholas, and Jacob; a friend, coach, and volunteer to many. Owner and operator of a family business for many years. Richard graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1963, where he played football and was a member of Beta Theta Pi. He was first team all state in football and baseball from Worthington High School. After college Richard was drafted into the NFL by the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions, and played for the Toledo Tornadoes. Richard was the Maumee High School Athletic Booster Club President and Little League Coach for many years. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, and owned and cared for several standard bred horses. Richard was a member of the USTA. The family will receive guests Friday, November 28, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Burial will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery, Napoleon, Ohio. A special thanks to Swan Pointe Care Center and to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Turnow, Paul - Oregon  
TURNOW Paul Edward Funeral services for Paul Turnow of Roseau, MN will be held on Wednesday, November 26, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Roseau at 11 a.m. Paul Edward Turnow passed away at the age of 58 on November 22, 2014, at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Oregon, Ohio to Ralph and Ethel (Schumaker) Turnow on February 28, 1956. He graduated from Clay High School in 1974. In 1981, Paul married Caryl Knauss from Pemberville, OH. They moved to Roseau, Minnesota and farmed with his parents. Paul and Caryl raised two sons, Scott and Craig. Survivors include his wife, Caryl; sons, Scott and Craig Turnow; brother, James Turnow; sisters, Joanne Kelderman, Donna (Dave) Frost, and Janet (Gary) Berger; mother-in-law, Mollie Jo Knauss; brother-in-law, James (Vickie) Knauss; sister-in-law, Joan Harper, and several nieces and nephews. Walker, Loran - Toledo  
WALKER Loran W. Loran W. Walker, of Clarkston, passed away suddenly November 25, 2014, at age 57. Loving husband of Susan for 32 years. Beloved father of Adam and Barbara Walker. Brother-in-law of Carol Walker and uncle of Michael Walker. Son-in-law of Skip and Marilyn Speck. Preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Lois Walker and brother, Norman M. Walker. Loran earned his Doctorate at Lawrence Technological University. He was currently a full Professor at Capella University. Loran was very active in the Project Management Institute. Wall, Ruth - Perrysburg  
WALL Ruth "Olene" Ruth "Olene" Wall, age 90, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014, peacefully at her home. She was born on October 10, 1924, to Oscar and Minnie (Narmore) Collins of Medon, TN. Ruth came to Toledo for nursing and met the love of her life, Richard Wall, who passed away in 1980. Ruth worked as a nurse and raised five children. After her children were grown she worked as a home healthcare nurse into her late 70s. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, quilting, southern cooking, and she looked forward to the Collins' family reunion every year. Ruth had the biggest heart and always put her family first. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She was always there for anyone in need. Her warmth and kindness showed to everyone she met. She never lost her sense of humor even when things got tough. We will miss the laughter and joy she brought to us daily. Surviving are her loving children, Richard (Darren) Wall Jr., Cynthia (Tim) Selz, Deborah Wolfe and Timothy (Virginia) Wall; son-in-law, William Bockelman; daughter-in-law, Sammie Hammers; brothers, Edward (Frankie) Collins and Jimmy (Shelby) Collins, both of Tennessee; grandchildren, Rachel (Todd) Long, Erica (Joseph) Spino, Joseph (Amber) Archambeau, Matthew (Victoria) Wolfe, Sarah (Kraig) King, Lucas Wall, Tyler Selz, Christopher, Steve and Elizabeth Wall and Shannon, Cathy, Shawn and Eddie Hammers. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews from Tennessee, special loved ones, Donna Bauman, Viqui Lantz and Tootie St. Julian. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Wall; sons, Gordon Hammers and Jeffery Wall, and daughter, Roberta Bockelman. Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Friday, November 28, 2014, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at the Rossford United Methodist Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. A funeral luncheon will follow funeral services at the church. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, OH. Washington, Virginia - Toledo  
WASHINGTON Virginia C. Virginia C. Washington, age 66, passed into eternal life peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the Toledo Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Virginia was born in Toledo Ohio on May 12, 1948, to Harry and Bernice Washington. She was a lifelong member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church, serving on both the Youth and Adult Usher Board. Virginia attended both Scott and Woodward High School but she was "Bulldog Forever". She received an Associates Degree from Stautzenberger in Business. But it was her training and working fur the care of the elderly that was her passion. She also loved fixing and serving food on Saturday mornings for the patients at the Lucas County Mental Health Center. Virginia leaves to mourn her loving sister, Gail; brothers, Booker T., Charlie (Kita) and Frankie (Pam); brother-in-law, Jeff Toler, nieces and nephews; her longtime running buddy, Mrs. Mary Scott; Mrs. Martha Wright, and special sister-friend, Mrs. Arlene Brookenthal. A special thanks to Toledo Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the love and care you gave our sister. Visitation will be Friday, November 28, 2014, 4-6 p.m. Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Services Saturday, November 29, 2014, family hour 10 a.m. with funeral following at 11 a.m. New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1741 Cone St., Dr. Gerald O. Fletcher pastor.
