Abigail Rae PERKINS

PERKINS Abigail Rae "Abi" Abigail Rae "Abi" Perkins, age 17, passed away February 1, 2012. Abi was a senior at Whitmer High School. She was involved in Monroe County 4-H. Her love of her horse Nelli took her on many journeys the last 2 and a half years. She was a competitive barrel racer, winning almost every race she ran. "She was the best athlete in the family". Abi enjoyed going to the rodeo every Saturday night with her buddy, Joe. Abi lived hard and died pretty. Abi will be dearly missed by her mom, Rhonda (Rob); dad, Mark (Pam); brothers, Cody (Jessica) and Tyler; sister, Mackenzie; uncle, Matt Kozlaker; cousins, Kyle and Connor Kozlaker; aunt, Lisa Perkins; cousins, Jacob, Zack, Andrew Whiting; special godfather, James "Shorty" Morton; grandparents, John and Patty Kozlaker, Cheryl (Papa Dave) Jacklitch, Dave (Mary) Perkins and special friends, Joe and Marilynn. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Audrey Robbins and John and Mary Kozlaker. Abi is also survived by her great-grandpa, Herschel Robbins; many relatives and friends, and last but not least her dog, Lucy and her horse, Nelli (Absolute Bullet Proof). Friends are invited to visit from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Ansberg-West Funeral Home 3000 Sylvania where services will commence at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
