Abran Galvan Ledesma, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 12, 2014. He was born in Bermuda, Texas on January 11, 1930 to Cristobal and Isabel (Galvan) Ledesma. He worked for many years as a truck driver for Bettingers, and later as an Assembly worker for Tecumseh Products in their small motors division. He enjoyed watching softball, going fishing and gambling at the casinos. Abran was affectionately known by his family and friends as the ""Festival Supervisor"", as he loved attending the many local festivals.
Abran is survived by his son, Abe (Marty) Ledesma, daughters, Gloria (Fito) Ramirez, Dora Pecina, Vicky (Tom) Bolander and Angie (Eddie) Sanchez; a granddaughter he raised, Frankie (Angel) Torres; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandaughter; Evelio (Angela) Ledesma and Modesto Ledesma; sisters, Francisca Saldivar, Juanita (Antoino) Bernal, and Graciela Gandara. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maria S.; his brothers, Martin and Bruno Ledesma, Willie Medrano; sister, Modesta Ledesma, and his daughter, Victoria Ledesma.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Sunday, March 16, from 2-8 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, beginning at 10:15 a.m.in the funeral home followed by a mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Marygrove ( 1748 Raab Rd.) at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial donation can do so to Immaculate Conception Church, Marygrove, Ohio or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
