Cherie Hoffman Wilk, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 1, 2014, in Phoenix, Arizona. Cherie was born in Toledo, Ohio, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Scott High School in 1947, and attended Ohio State University
In 2008, Cherie and her late husband, Jack, made the decision to move to Phoenix so that they would be able to spend more time with family. She loved her family and was fortunate to have many wonderful times and memories that will live on.
Cherie was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Louis Hoffman; her brother, Erwin Hoffman, and her husband, Jack. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Wilk (Greg Snyder), Manchester, Massachusetts; son, Lawrence (Susan) Wilk, Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Nichole Wilk, Abbey Wilk, Zachary (Clara) Wilk and their daughters, Rose and Alison Wilk, of Phoenix, Arizona; and sister-in-law, Jackie Nusbaum, Sylvania, Ohio. She was a loving aunt and great-aunt to Lynn, Michael, and James Nusbaum, and their children, and Frederick Hoffman and Linda Hoffman.
Tributes in her memory may be made to Temple Merkaz Ha-Iyr, 7901 N. Central, Phoenix, Arizona 85020; Prime Care Hospice, 4225 W. Glendale Ave., Suite A- 200, Phoenix, Arizona 85051, or the charity of donor's choice. A private memorial service will be held this summer on Cape Cod.
