Harold Facker died peacefully on March 2, 2014, at the Arbors of Sylvania Rehab Center. He was born April 3, 1918, to Henry and Cora Bell (Williams) Facker in Toledo, Ohio. A proud Army veteran, he served in World War II from 1941-1946 as an MP and in the China Burma India theater. He was a member of VFW Post 5530. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1973, after 31 years and was a member of NALC for over 60 years. He enjoyed bowling and attending Mud Hens baseball games until he was 92.

Predeceased by brother, Lawrence; second wife, Emily D. (Bielinski) and long-term friend, Betty Surprise. Survivors include sister, Lora Ann Harris (California); son, William (Marilyn), Oregon; daughters, Diana Fredricks (Todd) and Sharon Facker, Texas; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and members of Betty Surprise's family whom he considered family.

A memorial service will be held at Aldersgate Methodist Church, 4030 Douglas Road, Toledo, Ohio, at 12:30 p.m. on March 30, 2014.
