Jack C. Mohn, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Born and raised in Clyde, Ohio, Jack married Betty Lou, his wife of 41 years in 1955, and they traveled throughout the world during his 22 year naval career, settling in Toledo in 1980. He began working at TARTA in January of 1982, serving as a driver and dispatcher, retiring in 2000. Jack was a member of the Fleet Reserve and American Legion Adams Township Post 553. He was also active in the Boy Scouts.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Ann (Ron) Collins of Toledo and son, Commander John C. (Jill) Jr. of Gig Harbor, WA. He was loving Pop-Pop to Lynne (Brent) Owczarzak, Ronnie (Courtnie) Collins Jr., Steven, Tyler, Tiffany (Aaron) Kauth and Cynthia Bauer. He was loving G-Pop to Dusty II, Tony Bob, Mia-Angelina, Austin, Sonny, Caiden, Johnathon Ryan and one on the way in August.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the mortuary followed by the funeral mass in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
