John O. Haupricht, 78, of Toledo, OH, passed away at the Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, Monday morning, December 9, 2013.

John was born March 20, 1935, to the late George and Lucy (Lescher) Haupricht.

John was a truck driver most of his life retiring from Johns Manville in 2006. He was proud to have served his country in both the Naval Reserves and the United States Marine Corp. John enjoyed, and attended any sport in which his children and grandchildren participated; he was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Detroit Lions and Tigers.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 52 years, Marjorie (Ott) Haupricht; children, Barb (Ken) Mummert, and their children, Chelsea Mummert and Ashley (Patrick) Miller, and great-grandchildren, Nathan and Sydney; Beth Haupricht; Brett (Barb) Haupricht, and their children, Madison Haupricht and Devon Dusseau; grandchildren, Lexi and Marissa Grove; brothers, Frank (Betty) and Nick Haupricht; sister-in-law, Joyce Haupricht, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors to numerous to mention. John was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Brenda Sue Grove; brothers, Bob, Clete, and Lenny, and sister, Doris Gay.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, Ohio, Thursday, December 12th from 3-8 p.m., where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. The Funeral Ceremony will take place at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. John will be laid to rest with Military Honors at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

Those wishing to give memorials in John's honor are asked to consider, in lieu of flowers, the St. Clement Catholic Church or the Promedica Hospice Ebeid Residence.
