John Thomas Kehn, 80, of Falmouth, Maine passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 10, 1933, the son of the late George J. and Marie G. (McDonough) Kehn. Jack attended the Most Blessed Sacrament Church. He graduated from Blessed Sacrament School and Central Catholic High School. Jack earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toledo, and a Master's Degree from the University of Notre Dame
. Jack was employed by Esso Research and Engineering Company in Roselle, NJ as a chemical engineer, where he developed several patents related to extending the life of the rubber tire. Jack lived and worked in England for several years. He had a vast record collection going back to the 1940s.
He is survived by his sister, June (Kehn) Lauber. Jack is predeceased by his older brother, Ray. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Jean (Sturtz) Kehn; ten nieces and nephews, Anne Camp, Bruce Lauber, Kathleen Fuschetto, Jim Kehn, Mary Tumblin, Phil Kehn, Beth Moore, John Kehn, Theresa Fry, Sara McCurdy, and many grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 4227 Bellevue Rd., Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests in the narthex of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, August 17, at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery Toledo, Ohio. Luncheon will follow in the Kelly Room at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
