Maria B. Sadowy, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 2, 2014. She was born on August 20, 1946, to Franciszek and Stefania Baran in Wyszkow, Poland. Maria came to the United States in 1967. She met her husband, Kazimierz, in Brooklyn, NY and they were married September 9, 1967. Together they moved to Toledo, Ohio and enjoyed 46 years together.
Maria was a beautician and later became a housekeeper for the Catholic Diocese. She loved gardening and had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens at her home. She and Kazimierz enjoyed traveling, gambling, and vacationing with their family. Maria's Catholic faith was very important to her, as she was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
She is survived by her son, Bob Sadowy; daughter, Yvonne (Brian) Moryc; grandsons, Nicholas Sadowy and Joseph Moryc, and her sisters, Anna Pelc and Krystyna Bialousz. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Kazimierz.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Friday, March 14 from 5-8 p.m., with a Scripture Service and "Sharing of Memories" at 7 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, and interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
