Mary A. Jasin, 80, of Lambertville, MI, formerly of Point Place, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 31, 2013, in The Toledo Hospital. She was born March 10, 1933, in Toledo, OH to the late Clement and Marie (Drella) Shubarga. Mary was a school teacher and reading specialist for Toledo Public Schools and Washington Local Schools for 30 years, retiring in 1988. She was a long time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and served on the Church's Funeral Lunch Program for many years. Mary enjoyed wintering in Florida with her loving husband of 59 years, Carl. Her heart and soul were dedicated to her #1 love and greatest priority, her family, and she relished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mannette Kessler (2013); and her brother, Clement Shubarga Jr. Surviving is her husband, Carl; sons, Mark and Christopher (Lynn) Jasin; sister-in-law, Michelle Jones; son-in-law, Mike Kessler; grandchildren, Ann Marie (Bill) Hayes, Scott Jasin, Jasin (Holly) Kessler, Erin (Joe) Bajas, and Austin Jasin; great-grandchildren, Chris, Laura, Jeffery and Madelyn.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611 with the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the church, officiated by Father Anthony Borgia. Interment is private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations are considered to the Ovarian Cancer Connection (in memory of her daughter Mannette Kessler), P.O.
