Orval Lloyd



Orval Lloyd Markham, 69 years, of Petersburg, MI passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in Kindred Hospital, Lima, OH. The son of Charles and Nancy (Lyons) Markham he was born on October 27, 1943, in Huntsville, Alabama. Orval graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1962. He was raised most of his life by his step-father Ellis C. Beasley who preceded him in death in 1996. Orval served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He worked for G.M. Powertrain as a machine operator for 31 years retiring in July of 2002. On April 4, 1969, he married Linda Wagner who preceded him in death on December 3, 1991. He was a very loving father and best friends with his daughter Juanita. Such a thoughtful and caring man, he loved to help others. Orval was a big NASCAR fan, loved fishing and his daughter Juanita's dogs.

Orval is survived by his loving daughters, Juanita Markham and Shelia Markham; sister, Peggy (William) Newton; brother-in-law, Arthur Wagner, and 2 grandchildren. Along with his parents, step-father and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio with Military Honors conducted by Lambertville VFW Post # 9656.
