Raymond A. Borysiak, age 92, passed away on May 2, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 2, 1921, in Toledo to Lucian and Wanda (Wisniewski) Borysiak. A World War II
Navy Veteran, Raymond was a lifetime member of VFW
Post 5530. He was employed by Page Dairy for 29 years, retiring in 1975. Raymond also worked for Toledo Public Schools as a custodian and for Ohio Lithograph as a plate maker. Raymond immensely enjoyed polka dancing with his wife, Lucille. Together they belonged to the Toledo Area Polka Society and won 5 trophies. Raymond was a master at growing and caring for roses, their beauty was always the talk of the neighborhood.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Lucille Borysiak; sons, Gene (Sandy), Larry (Marcia), and Kevin (Ann) Borysiak; sister, Geraldine (Dan) Michalski, and grandchildren, Maria, Molly, Matthias, and Maggie Borysiak. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo, Edwin, and Jerome "Harry" Borysiak; sister, Lucille Kwiatkowski, and grandson, Brian Borysiak.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. The Lucas County Burial Corp will conclude services with a Military Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
