Ronald S. Bristow, age 91, of Rossford, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Clay Township on July 23, 1922, to Clarence and Nellie (Snider) Bristow. After graduating from Macomber High School, Ron proudly served his country during WWII
in the U.S. Navy
as a Seabee. He was employed with Toledo Scale in production control for 35 years. Ron enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends at the Rossford McDonalds for a cup of coffee and good conversation and spending time with his dear friend, Ruth.
Surviving is his son, Mark (Connie) Bristow; grandsons, Bryan and Cory (Richard Huff) Bristow; brother, Bruce (Virginia) Bristow; nephew, Dave Bristow; special friend, Ruth Ziethlow; stepdaughters, Cindy (Bill) Gladieux and Marcia (Ron) Weber; step grandchildren, Angie (Steve) Hobbins, Dan (Chelsey) Weber, David (Sandra) Weber, Todd (Jaclynn) Weber, Ryan (Brittany) Gladieux, Matthew (Alexis) Gladieux and Adam (Jackie) Gladieux. Also surviving are 24 great-grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Laura (Seymour) and Virginia (Knurek).
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Kent Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests that contributions in Ron's memory be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
