Shirley A. Donnell, age 81, formerly of Woodville, OH most recently of Pemberville, OH passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Otterbein Portage Valley Retirement Village, Pemberville, OH. Shirley was born on October 31, 1932, in Pemberville, OH to Norman and Lorena (Helvoight) Witker. On June 30, 1951, she married Willard Donnell in Pemberville and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2011. She had been employed for the Woodville Limestone Newspaper, Homemaker Shops at the Woodville and Southwyck Mall and then retired in 1998, from Pills and Packages, Woodville. Her memberships included Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, Church Women's Circle, funeral luncheon committee and was a former Den Mother. In her spare time she loved decorating, cooking, baking and most of all spending time with her family. Wherever Shirley went she always made friends and truly enjoyed being with people.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Dennis (Sherry) Donnell, Gary (Terri) Donnell both of Woodville; grandchildren, Sarah (Dan) Davis, Elmore, OH, Jeremy (Amber) Donnell of Pataskala, OH, Megan (Jon) Williamson of Woodville, Tyler Donnell of Perrysburg; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Morgan, Kalyn, Violet, Elaina, Matilda and a little one on the way and brother, Robert (Linda) Witker of AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard; infant daughter, Gail; sister, Mary Jane Dippman and brother, Lowell Witker.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. from Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Kristina Ahlman. Interment will be private in Gibsonburg Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg, OH. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the memorial services.
