Suzanne L. McKinney was born on July 21, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Robert and Betty Shadle. She passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm on June 1, 2013.

She is survived by her son, Robert Thurman; granddaughter, Allison Thurman; brothers, Larry Shadle, Terry (Linda) Shadle, Sr.; sisters, Joy (Mike) Elswick, Patricia (Jon) Pringle; sister-in-law, Pam McKinney, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, James McKinney, her parents, and her brother, Jerry Shadle.

Sue was employed at Brondes Ford in Toledo for 29 years. During these years Brondes and her customers became her second family. She strived to always do her very best and never hesitated to go out of her way to help anyone. Her interests included golfing, gardening and her dogs Allie and Abby. She also had a special interest in helping cancers survivors and Renee's Survivor Shop.

Friends are invited to visit on Saturday, June 8, 2013, after 1:00 p.m. at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home where a memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. Immediately following the services, friends are invited to gather for a reception at VFW Post # 2898 at 3925 W.
