Walter E.

Walter E. Drafts, 87, passed away at his home in Phoenix, Arizona on January 29, 2013. Walter is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Drafts and son, Richard Drafts. Walter has resided in Phoenix for the past 22 years. Born in Toledo, Walter was a graduate of Macomber High School. After completing high school, he entered the US Navy and served four years as a refrigeration engineer. He then married Jackie and had four children, Linda, Richard, David and Scott. He worked at Chrysler as a machinist for many years. Walt was a jack-of-all-trades, and worked at several different jobs throughout his lifetime.

Walter is survived by his daughter, Linda Kwiakowski; sons, David Drafts and Scott Drafts; grandchildren, Chey Rubble, Jennifer Kwiakowski, David Drafts Jr., Joshua Drafts and Jaime Drafts. Walter was a devoted father and husband and had many interests such as bowling, golfing, boating and dancing. Walter lived a wonderful, full life and will be missed by many.

The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. Petri Lutheran Church. The service will be at 11:00 followed by a luncheon. Those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
