Marion J. Bruns, age 94, of Luckey, OH passed away on April 21, 2013, at Tidewell Hospice, Port Charlotte, FL. He was born on September 9, 1918, in Luckey, OH to George and Edith (Landwehr) Bruns. On September 12, 1959, he married Loretta McCutchen in Toledo, OH and she survives. His employments included: working with his father-in-law in the Cattle Buying Business, bookkeeper for the Elmer Henry Cattle Slaughtering House, Tank's Meat Market, Ohio Turnpike in the landscaping division and was also a farmer. Marion served his country proudly in the Air Force and was a member of Troy-Webster American Legion Post #240, Luckey, OH.
Marion is survived by his wife, Loretta; daughter, Yvonne Volin of Florida; step children, Gary (Janice) Elliott of Elmore, OH, Larry Elliott of Sagamore Hills, OH, Jane Elliott of Perrysburg, OH; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Shelby Bruns; granddaughter, Lynette Grames; sisters, LaVerne LeVan, Dorothy Sergent and Delila Harpel.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 3, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. James Budke. Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH.
