Ruth J.

Ruth J. Jenne, age 88, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born November 25, 1924, in Harlan, Kentucky to M.Z. and Rachel (Bryant) Rountree. Ruth was employed 17 years as a cook and manager at Heine's Fish and Chips. She was a member of the American Legion Post 531 Women's Auxiliary. Ruth was an avid gardener, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and loved to walk everyday.

Left to cherish her memory is loving husband of 64 years, Carleton Jenne; children, Peggi Clark, Richard (Carol) Jenne and Terry (Debbie) Jenne; grandchildren, Andrea Clark, Matthew Clark, T.J. Jenne, Eric Jenne, Lorin (Jason) LaPorte and Ashley Jenne; great-grandchildren, Jayden Jenne, Nolan LaPorte and one on the way. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings, Clifton Rountree, Maudine Petrey, Pauline Holst and Estil Rountree.

The family will receive guests Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
