Shirley Bobzean Obituary
Shirley G. Bobzean, 89, of Temperance, MI, died Monday, October 16, 2017, in her home. Born December 9, 1927, in Holland, OH, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Harunah (Tibbits) McDarr. A Springfield High School graduate, Shirley married Gene Bobzean on November 22, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2001. She was the manager of the former Janney's Ace Hardware for 30 years, retiring in 1990. In her younger days, she work for her family business, The Lone Pine Cafe in Holland, OH.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughters, Diane (Sherman) Buckner, Stacy Bobzean and Vicky (Chili) Challis; sisters, Betty Jane Wagner, Virginia Prucha and Beverly Pratt; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman), Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017. Rev. Robert Hinz, officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to ProMedica Hospice.

Shirley was such a neat lady. I remember her from Janney's, from church and of course the YACS Minstrel show. So sorry for your loss. The year she and Don Brondes did The Little Red School House is a favorite of mine.
