Joshua Patrick
Joshua Patrick Kanary, age 34, Mentor, OH passed away suddenly at home on April 28, 2013.
He was born to Terrence and Marianne Kanary on April 10, 1979. He was a graduate of St. John Jesuit High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Grand Valley State University. He was currently pursuing his Master's Degree from Cleveland State University. He spent his career working in the non-profit field for various organizations. He loved music, video games and spending time with his wife, Julianne.
Josh was preceded in death by his father, Terry; brother, Jeremiah; grandparents, Nannie, Papa, Granny and his uncle, Keith. He is survived by his loving wife of 3 years, Julianne; mother, Marianne; sister, Erin; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Friday, May 3, 2013, from 2:00-8:00 p.m., where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at St. Pius X Church, 2950 Ilger Ave., Toledo, OH 43606, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. I just received word from Saint John's about the passing of Josh. I remember over the years for a while, we would call and wish each other a Happy Thanksgiving or a Merry Christmas. While we had not spoke in years, I have nothing but fond memories of Josh from our time at SJJ, attending poetry club, hanging out with Tim, and many other memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

My condolences to all of Josh's family. Josh was a graduate student assistant in our School, and he was an outstanding student. Josh worked really hard to make our Journal Reflections a great success. Josh was a kind and dedicated social work student. He was truly beloved by faculty, staff, students at CSU.

I got to know Josh when he spent a few months at NUI Maynooth, Ireland around 2001, incredibly nice and honest lad and a terrific singer/song writer, a real pleasure to have known.

I am so so sorry for his loss. I will remember him fondly from my childhood. Picking grapes at gramma Winterhalters house in the summer, or swimming at Aunt Suzies house. Again, I am sorry for your families loss....

My heart is heavy for the Kanary family. Josh was a talented and bright man (plus a pretty good roomie) that loved his family dearly. We will say a prayer for the Kanary family- God Bless from the Clarks-

Condolences to Josh's family & friends. Josh was such a talented guy that wrote cool songs, played a mean guitar & harmonica(at the same time). He played at the Original Brewed Awakenings many times. Simply, a really, really good caring person. Bless him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Josh's family and friends. I worked with Josh over the past year during his Graduate Assistantship in the School of Social Work at Cleveland State. He was smart, soft-spoken, quick with a laugh, and kind. Always so incredibly kind. I will miss him.
