Mildred Quay



Mildred Quay Houghton of Toledo, Ohio passed away on July 7, 2013, at the Elizabeth Scott Community. She was born in Napoleon, Ohio November 11, 1919, to Charles and Cora (Gilson) Felton. Mildred "Milly" graduated from Waite High School and Davis Business College. Milly worked 34 years in the administrative division of Owens-Illinois retiring in 1983 as executive secretary to General Counsel. She belonged to the OnIzed club and Golden Emblem Club during retirement and was a former member of Pyramid Chapter No. 519 O.E.S. Milly was also a former member of Lourdes College advisory board and active in eastern seal stroke club. And a 50 year member of Ashland Church, where she was active in church affairs in her younger years. Her biggest joy in life, aside from her family and friends, was reading and music attending concerts, singing in the church choir and the Toledo Choral Society.

Milly was preceded in death by her husband, Minter; son, Darryl Quay, and brothers, Edward and Kenneth Felton. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Cheryl A. Quay, and granddaughter, Megan Ann Quay.

The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns at Byrne Rd. on Wednesday July 10, 2013, 2:00-7:00 p.m. where

services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon, Ohio The family suggests memorials to Ashland church.
